Thomas Cook continues to monitor Hurricane Irma, which was classified as a Category 4 storm overnight on 4/5 September. Florida and Puerto Rico have now declared a state of emergency. Additional strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours.
Hurricane warnings have been issued for the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat, St Kitts and Nevis, St Martin, St Barthelemy, Saba, St Eustatius, Puerto Rico, British Virgin Islands and US Virgin Islands.
Storms such as these are very unpredictable and the authorities are still unsure of how it will track. The safety of our customers and staff is always our first priority, and we will continue to review all data on a daily basis. We will update our customers and staff if there is any significant impact expected on our resorts or our flight schedules.
